When the summer winds move on, and the leaves flare up then fade and fall; Some of us start to act a little (more than usual) crazy around the cabin... Tis' the season of seasons. Time to drag out the totes full of gear, and the gun cleaning begins. Time to get our heads into the hunt and out of "fall sports season " that our kids have used to consume the last three months of our time. When planning for our weekend treks to the back woods; it behooves us to do things which make camp life go more smoothly. One of those staple needs ( at least in this writer's opinion ) is a good salsa to take the chill off around the camp, when heaped onto the endless supply of chips ( which are another story, but none the less; another seasonal staple ). A good salsa goes on most any dish. A good salsa compliments most any sandwich. A good salsa activates a lot of extra pheromones that help our frequent naps go very well.... ( and for some, it has been known to go nicely with beer or whiskey ) and can be stored for most of the season with little effort ( at camp )... Soooooooooo.... without further flourish ( spelled nostalgia by some, bull$#!& by others ) I give you; Fire Roasted Camp Salsa
