COMING SOON: LE Gear On The Job
Ok people, don't be shocked, it's a second post on the same day. I wanted to apologize to my readers and those of my partner sites, for being away for so long. in the days to come I'll be putting together a series of posts geared toward some useful tips and equipment reviews of products that "went through the ringer" during the month long deployment I was on searching for inmates who escaped from my home jail, Clinton CF up north in New York. Those of us on the Emergency Response Team or CERT for short, experienced some pretty harsh conditions for several weeks, and our equipment was certainly put to the test. Much of our standard issue was cast aside in favor of products we found to work better, and that tolerated the conditions we encountered. Because its so difficult to get new equipment in many departments, and cost is a major factor most of the time, I've decided to give up the information I've collected , right here for free. It's the right thing to do, and hopefully it will help get others fitted with the tools they need to get the job done... stay tuned...
